Super Saturated

Exhibition identity and design for the 2024 RISD Graphic Design MFA thesis show, themed around Louis Rossetto's line: "in the age of information overload, the ultimate luxury is meaning and context." The space was built from tiled images cut out of the show's XL newspaper publication, alongside thesis books and an interactive piece that let visitors stretch type width with hand gestures — a responsive typographic logic that carries through to supersaturated.net and the full print system. The collaborative publication asked each graduating designer to respond to the Rossetto quote through a single spread restricted to photography, typography, or graphics; the center spread doubles as the exhibition poster.

Clinton Van Arnam is a Brooklyn-based independent designer whose work focuses on the nuances of typography across interactive and time-based projects. He collaborates with clients, artists, architects, and design teams internationally. Clinton teaches motion graphics and web interaction at Parsons School of Design and has previously taught at Rhode Island School of Design and University of California, Los Angeles. He holds an MFA in Graphic Design from RISD and a BA in Design Media Arts from UCLA.
